Portfolio: Repair #1
This case study shows a real life example of how a cracked laptop screen can be repaired in just a couple of days.

1. Make Contact - Emily contacted e-swoosh Ltd using facebook *. She outlined the problem, the make and model of laptop, and how best to contact her regarding repairs.
1b. Parts Analysis - in this case it was easy to work out what part was required (a new Super-bright LCD panel), but in other cases we may need to do some initial diagnosis before ordering parts.
In a lot of cases, e-swoosh Ltd actually have parts on the shelf ready to fit.
2. Free Quotation - We sent Emily a price for a new LCD panel, and for the labour to fit the panel using SMS/Text Message * as she had indicated this was the best way to get in touch.
Once she had agreed to accept the quotation we ordered an LCD panel on urgent delivery from our supplier.
3. Repair - To save Emily from being without her [much needed] laptop, we waited until the part had arrived to arrange a suitable repair time - this was actually only 24 hours from the initial contact.
Once Emily had confirmed the repair date and time:
4. Free Collection - we collected the laptop from her home address, carried out the screen replacement and a free courtesy clean of all casings and keyboard.
4b. Payment - Prior to the repaired machine being returned we send a request for payment (as agreed at quotation). This can be paid by Cash, Cheque, Bank Transfer *, or even PayPal *.
5. Drop off - Once the repair was completed and quality control checked we arranged [again using SMS/Text message] an ideal time to drop the laptop off.
The total time Emily was without her laptop was less than 24 hours using our process described here.
6. Invoice - An invoice is delivered at the time of drop off.
